CLEP Testing Centers
If you want your scores to be reported to a college, you must select that college as “score recipient” on the screen prior to beginning the exam (there is no fee for this). If you do not know which college to select, we recommend letting CLEP hold your test scores until you choose which college you would like to attend. There is a transfer fee of $20, and it has been understood you can pay this fee one time for all the CLEPs you have taken.
Fill out the application form to take the CLEP test (see link below to print one out). You will need a driver’s license or a state ID with a picture and signature, as well as two checks, one for CLEP and one for the testing center. Some testing centers accept a credit card and some require a money order for payment.
Below is information needed to take the CLEP exam. You must call the testing centers to make an appointment and get any other information that might be needed on their specific CLEP testing policies; each testing center has different requirements regarding the cost, payment arrangements, application due dates, appointments, etc., and at times they do change policies, times, directors, cost, etc.
